About the event

The general purpose is to promote youth engagement and growth in practicing healthy hygiene habits in a series of The KaRe Project workshops. Additionally, our purpose is to improve their self-confidence, disease reduction, pain reduction, hygiene health awareness and discuss how it impacts self-acceptance, social acceptance and employment opportunities.

We emphasize the collaborative approach that allows for concerted and intentional engagement, the creation of interlocking roles for sustainability, and shared accountability for outcomes that have been mutually agreed upon. This creates a basis for strategy implementation and supports the success of The KaRe Project.

Our target population are youth and young adults between the ages of 12 and 26, experiencing poverty, facing barriers accessing resources for their basic needs, not benefiting from or qualifying for traditional after school, summer programs and services, unhoused, and having difficulty with self-care and independent living.
